What are differences between health and wellness?
There are many views, opinions, definitions and practices of health and wellness. The Diskin Life definitions and practices are as follows:
Health is a physical state of one’s “bodymind”. Bodymind being the entity of body and mind that are not only related, they are inseparable.
Three essential elements are:
Integrity-
Being “whole” (having all your parts)
Function-
How efficiently your bodymind works
Adaptability-
Your ability to respond and cope to a changing (physical, chemical and emotional) environment
Wellness is a state of mind/attitude of voluntary contextualisation, considering resourcefulness (versus resources)
The way you choose to
-Live and respond (or react) to life’s situations
-Feel about your state or circumstances (how you feel about what you have or have not)
-What you make of your circumstances (resourcefulness) |
