Your Personalised thorough and comprehensive high tech Assessment (Visit One)
Our care approach begins with a thorough personal health and life history profile of each new client. This includes our uniquely designed in-depth questionnaire, revealing the most pertinent and relevant information necessary to become aware of your individual care goals and objectives. We will usually ensure you have this document in advance, so you can complete it at your leisure before you arrive at our centre. Upon your arrival, we will have the opportunity to acquaint ourselves with each other, and then your Chiropractor will meet with you to discuss your particular health concerns and objectives.
This is usually followed by the Diskin Life physical assessment system, incorporating the latest non-invasive high-tech bio-scanning instrumentation. This includes the only technology of its kind certified by the Space Foundation, namely the Insight sEMG (surface Electromyography), Thermal, and Pulse Wave Profiler Heart Rate Variability computerised scanning.
On this visit, we will collect the necessary information about you and your condition, to maximise our results with you. You should allow at least one hour for this visit.

| sEMG (surface Electromyographic) scans
sEMG scans measure and record spinal muscle activity, providing feedback as to muscle balance and activity levels, as well as spinal stability associated with nerve system function. Sensors are gently placed on the skin over the spine to measure the electrical output of the nerves via muscle activity.

Thermal Scans
Thermal scanning utilises infrared technology to read and compare skin temperatures on both sides of the spine, providing feedback relating to autonomic nerve system function, which relates to how your organs may be functioning. |

Heart Rate Variability
This state-of-the-art technology allows us to assess a person’s ability for the body to cope with environmental stress, by simple placing your hand on the sophisticated sensor pad which simultaneously detects and analyses various physiological functions. The better their body copes with stress, the more likely their resistance will prevent them from succumbing to illness.

Progressive Digital Posturography
We use Progressive Digital Posturography to record and analyse your posture, and the resultant stresses it may place on your structure and function. The further your posture is from centre of gravity, the greater weight distortion and stress you place on your spine and nerve system. Approximately for every 2mm distortion, the resultant extra weight burden is one more kilogram.

To thoroughly evaluate your skeletal foundation, and to obtain a clear blueprint, primarily to view the alignment, wear and tear patterns, congenital anomalies and to access a more thorough history of your spine; we have installed a special x-ray imaging technology called the Summit High-Frequency Low-Dose Full-Spine Chirotech System, (the first of its kind in Australia). This user-friendly system produces less radiation than conventional systems, so it's safer for all ages.
Extra safety measures are incorporated, including sensitive organ shielding, collimation, as well as film intensifying screens to minimise the already lowered exposure factors.

Digital Imaging
Consistent with our ongoing technology updates, we have installed a state of the art digital x-ray capture scanner, dedicated computers, and special viewing screens as an enhancement to our existing high frequency low dose x-ray imaging system, for you when you have x-rays taken at Diskin Life.
