• The centre is naturally ventilated by regularly opening north and south facing windows and thereby creating cross ventilation.
  
  
• Plants have been specifically introduced to the centre for their natural air filtering abilities, relative humidity equalising properties and positive psychological affects.
  
  
• Specialised local ventilation has been installed in the X-ray chemical storage room.
  
  
• Only filtered water and 100% pure essential oils are used as air fresheners.
   
  
• Clothes dryer is vented to the outside to prevent moisture and indoor air pollution.
   
  
• All cleaning products and the methods used to clean are environmentally friendly and completely non-toxic.
   
  
• The high ceilings promote good air flow and provide a sense of space.
   
  
• The paint utilised on all newly painted surfaces contain no solvents or VOC’s.
   
  
• All drinking water is naturally filtered, ionised and energised.
   
  
• Glasses are provided for drinking water and no plastic or paper cups are utilised.
   
  
• Diskin Life is in the process of becoming completely paperless.
   
  
• Incoming paper mail is utilised as note pads or recycled through the local council.
   
  
• Reflex Recycled paper stock is being phased in for copy and printer paper needs and only recycled toilet paper is used in the bathrooms.
   
  
• All used printer and copier cartridges are recycled through Planet Ark.
   
  
• Lights and equipment are switched off when not in use.
   
  
• Due to retrofitting the latest German technology, up to 30W less energy is used by halogen lamps/globes and the life of each one has been extended by up to 60%.
   
  
• 45W less energy and 15 times longer lamp life has been achieved by substituting non dimmable incandescent lamps for compact fluorescent lamps.
   
  
• All compact fluorescent lamps are recycled through Advanced Recycling Australasia to prevent any mercury from entering the natural environment.
   
  
• Bioharmonics, Ergonomics and Colours have been carefully considered to create a warm welcome to visitors and a supportive and enjoyable working environment for all.
